Author Spotlight:

I've read two books I'd like to share with you!

A GIFT OF GOD: A Christian Contemporary Women's Fiction novel set in South Africa by Brenda Bishop is a delightful Christian romance of forgiveness and redemption! I loved the unique setting of South Africa. Also, this book is free with Kindle Unlimited. You can check it out here.

ReSet: Be Good Your Life Depends On It, is a young adult dystopian novel by Savy Loy. I enjoyed the plot and the characters in this book, although it is not a genre I typically read. Savy visited our Virtue & Praise Book Club and shared about her writing journey and the importance of escapism in reading. You watch the replay below and check out her book here. (Please excuse how tired I look! We had a slime party with my 1st graders earlier that day!😅)

Merry Christmas! We spent a lovely morning at church with my mom, listening to one of my favorite preachers—Dr. Raymond Barber. He always begins preaching quoting Scripture from memory and also this saying "When you open the Bible, you are opening the mind of God." I am so thankful for God's gift of His Son and that we have easy access to the Word of God. Happy Fall! We finally have a reprieve from the sweltering sun here in south Arkansas. Who knows how long it will last? (I'm hoping for a while!) I feel like I am finally making some progress in editing book 3 of the Shady Springs Series. There was a scene I had been particularly dreading, and I made it through with only a few tears. I am hoping to have this book in an editor's hands by January and for a release date next summer. I also am prepping for Nanowrimo this November. The plan is to...
