I recently went to a marketing conference in Austin, TX and met some fantastic authors! I can't wait to share some of their books with you!
One of the big decisions I have to make is how to publish my next book. The publishing agency I was with is going in a different direction, and now I am faced with going with another publisher or ultimately going indie! Do you have a preference when you are reading books? Do you only read traditionally published books or give an indie author a chance? Please reply back and let me know! I greatly value your opinion!!

I had the opportunity to meet Melissa Ray at a book conference a couple of years ago. I love her books and the much-needed message she brings to the world. Her children's books are inspired by her grandpa, a sharecropper who later worked for NASA!

Merry Christmas! We spent a lovely morning at church with my mom, listening to one of my favorite preachers—Dr. Raymond Barber. He always begins preaching quoting Scripture from memory and also this saying "When you open the Bible, you are opening the mind of God." Happy Fall! We finally have a reprieve from the sweltering sun here in south Arkansas. Who knows how long it will last? (I'm hoping for a while!) I feel like I am finally making some progress in editing book 3 of the Shady Springs Series. There was a scene I had been particularly dreading, and I made it through with only a few tears.
